In KNRTU the international program "Engineering university teacher" has started.
The international Erasmus + program for professional retraining of teachers of engineering universities has started in KNRTU.
A three-level modular program (iPET) was developed by the members of the ENTER project consortium. Its first level corresponds to advanced training, the second is professional retraining. The third, most difficult, leads to internationally accredited engineering educator certificate.

The professional retraining program is to be implemented by the Institute of Continuing Professional Education of KNRTU. It should be noted that it is this institution which has been implementing a full-scale program for teachers of engineering universities "Higher Education Teacher" for more than 25 years, the program has been repeatedly accredited by the International Society for Engineering Education (IGIP). It is not easy to get such accreditation: enough to say that 20 years ago there were 14 universities participating in the initiative, and at the moment only five of them remained.
“We have been developing the concept of the program and its content with partner universities for two years,” says Mansur Galikhanov, director of the Institute for Continuing Professional Education at KNRTU. - Now is the time to test it. Upon completion of the project we will have to release the end-product - a “teacher of the future” capable of preparing technical university students to effective work in a changing economy".

On January 19, an introductory lesson was held for trainees of the new international professional retraining program. The program participants were in distant mode congratulated by Pro-President of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, Professor Jose Quadrado, a long-term partner of the Institute of Continuing Professional Education in many scientific and educational initiatives. Не wished the participants success in learning new knowledge. Farida Shageeva the Head of the Department of Engineering Pedagogy and Psychology presented in detail the program and the ENTER project.
The international program "Engineering University Teacher" is full of relevant materials, it is practice-oriented and partially taught in English.
